Why don't you just ask the same damn question in a bunch of different threads?

I have been using a x50 for about 2 years. Is it worth investing in gx65 or v1.

I Drive both probably a little more hwy. The reason i am asking about the gx65. I believe i can get pretty cheap. But i am leaning toward the v1. I Also like what the sti brings to table. I am trying to stay around 400 dollars.

The GX65 has very good highway performance. And it of course features the ability to manually lock out false alerts from X and K band automatic door openers. More importantly, it features a built-in database of red light and speed camera locations. The GX65 is a splendid choice for a combination of both highway and city driving.

The STi, now thanks to its latest firmware, is fairly quiet when driving around town. Yet this radar detector is a fine oiled and completely stealth machine when used on the open highway. It would be my choice for mostly highway driving.

The V1 is specifically designed as a road warrior open highway radar detector. Its arrows are nice, and it features "old style" LED band indicators and a LED bar graph signal strength display. Unfortunately both the arrows and the LEDs are extremely visible at night from a considerable distance. That is one of my caveats regarding the V1.

In the end though, all three of these RDs are excellent RDs. Its mostly a matter of your own personal preferences with regards to what specific features are the most important for your needs.

I would give it a Good rating, seems to always do well, especially for price range.

It was great when I owned it. I had it on Expert mode, which I thought was pretty cool.
