Default 9500IX Winshield facing laser pickup

I recently got this detector and intent to use it on my bike.

The mount I got (ram-hol-un4u) gives several options to mounting. Specifically, what part of the detector that faces the front of the car has the laser pick up? Is it in the middle, closer to the power/earphone jack, or the usb jack side of the device?

laser sensor is on the right in picture (side of headphone jack) and the bottom 1/2 of the 9500ix.

lol, but you get where im telling you right?

If your looking at the lens the laser sensor is on the right, next to the rounded part of the lens. If you take a bright flashlight to the lens you can see it.

It probably won't matter much. Without a laser jammer, you're most likely toast when hit with laser anyhow.

Yeah 9500ix isn't so hot on laser ive been hit from far away and it sometimes alerts seconds after my LI's. On close range i think its off. Might be because i have a high mount on an SUV.

The main application is on the bike, so I'm hoping the frontal area of the bike isn't all that laser friendly.

Lol.. No, i have a pretty good mount in mind that will be super quick to remove when the bike is parked. I've had the gps on there most of last season, no issues with popping it off when the bike is out of sight.

The mount slides onto a bracket and locks into place. To remove there's a key that depresses a recessed pin. Slides right off. Takes all of 30 seconds to remove/reinstall.

I'll be using a similar mount for the RD.
