Of course then they might ask you for a demonstration, and when you can't provide one for them they will be that much more pissed off at you for lying to them

I'm like you, I will not mount it there because it just plain looks ugly and I want a stealth install. I don't care if it's illegal or not, the cops read forums like this one and they own jammers too, so don't kid yourself, they know what it is and the first place to look to see if you have one installed. Once they know you have one installed they know that you like to speed. Once they know you like to speed they just connect the dots, and at the very least can ruin your day by giving you a hassle. Rule of thumb, the less they know about your install, the better off you will be

Actually, my car does have park distance control, so all I have to do is put the car in reverse if they ask for a demonstration.

I looked at my rear plate again. The lip of the trunk lid hangs down low enough that I don't think it's going to be that noticeable. (I drive a BMW 5.) I'll probably go ahead and install it.

The one thing you need to careful of when installing the rear shifter is that it does not block the license plate illumination lights. I had this problem and we recently discussed how I fixed this problem in this thread.

Smile Re: 9500ci Without Rear Laser Shifter

I remember seeing a light kit from Bel made specifically for their rear jammer. It was like $29 and attached to the bottom of the head if my memory serves me right. If I run across the link again I'll post it.
