My 9500ix

Not bad IMO, the first the video was started during the alert. The second was pretty darn good getting that alert so early and with so much traffic, and the LEO must of been pretty far away at first alert. The third was poor but that could be explained away.

I have been happy with my range like jmccam, not allot of wow but more than enough time to slow down and most times its chirping forever before I see the LEO.

Its all relative, if its better than 90% of the Rd's out there that's pretty good. Stop trying to beat up on a perfectly fine RD, it does an exceptional job compared to most units out there. Stop thinking in only ci/V1 terms.

Sure a car that did 200+ is cool but one that does 140 is just fine for me and 99% of everyone else in the world.

Absolutely, but the fact is that the I/IX (GX65 included) has taken a big step in trying to give a balance of excellent detection with minimal falses in a window mounted unit. Is it perfect? No. Could some kinks be worked on and improved? Yes (Escort are you listening?), but I for one am very happy with mine. The videos are disappointing, but even in the 2007 GOL test of the 9500I was near the top in every category; Guys of LIDAR - Radar Detector Test - August 2007.

I have concluded my poor performance I think was because 9500ix and V1 fighting...I turned my V1 to Ka band only and my 9500ix to K band only and I noticed a big diffrence on my way home against a LEO and some speed signs that where not great detection before....The reason I picked the bands on each detector the way I did is because the IX is great at filtering K band doors. I am going to leave it like this a while to see some more results.

I tried the 9500ix alone right before I sold it and it was getting a lot better range.I am pretty sure it was because I had 2 RDs running in the cabin together.I have learned this is a no no...I sold it anyway as I am saving for a 9500ci....
