I am sure it is because M4 is a step back to the S7

I have been happy with my range like jmccam, not allot of wow but more than enough time to slow down and most times its chirping forever before I see the LEO.
are you serious wth your standards are low
Its all relative, if its better than 90% of the Rd's out there that's pretty good. Stop trying to beat up on a perfectly fine RD, it does an exceptional job compared to most units out there. Stop thinking in only ci/V1 terms.

Sure a car that did 200+ is cool but one that does 140 is just fine for me and 99% of everyone else in the world.
Thank you! This thread makes the 9500ix seem like a POS! Am I biased because I own one...yes. Would everyone love to have the quietness of an IX/CI with the range of a CI/V1 and the stealth of an STi/CI? Absolutely, but the fact is that the I/IX (GX65 included) has taken a big step in trying to give a balance of excellent detection with minimal falses in a window mounted unit. Is it perfect? No. Could some kinks be worked on and improved? Yes (Escort are you listening?), but I for one am very happy with mine. The videos are disappointing, but even in the 2007 GOL test of the 9500I was near the top in every category; Guys of LIDAR - Radar Detector Test - August 2007.

I agree that the "bang for the buck" it is not, but this is a very good RD.
Try a 9500CI and you will see what I mean. It makes many other RD's seem like a toy
I don't think anyone would argue that at all[replacer_img] But now we are getting into some serious cash and not all of us can afford to drop a note and a half on a CI

When the wife gets out of Med School then I can consider it
    understood
    And thats the whole point
    I did not say agreed
What fun would it be if you totally agreed, we understand your spoiled. Besides you didn't need to agree, understanding is all we ask.
all these quotes are getting ridiculous

I am going to leave it like this a while to see some more results.

It's very interesting that turnng off 'bands' affected performance.
Do we know if the difference is merely that way it 'listens'
    or
does the LO frequency/modulation change with band de-activation ?

My V-1 and 9500i play quite well together

I can't explain it I tried it with both RDs runningboth bands and each running only one and it was poor performance either way....When I run only one I get great performance.....
