But Amazon is having a sale on Escort C65 radar detectors. They're selling them for $249.99 with free shipping.

I'm not affiliated with Amazon in any way, shape, or form, and I don't need a C65 or particularly want one at the moment. I'm just passing this along to those who might be in the market for one. I would post a link but I don't want to cause any problems here on the board.

New ones with the same horn are pretty close in performance. Supposedly happya$$ believes the old S7 horns are better than the new M4's. Happya$$ is just on a M4 bashing binge, wait till he gets his 9500ix back and we will see what he says then. Probably the same thing...

IMO, and from my comparisons with my 8500 and 9500 testing i see no big difference tipping its hat to the S7. Only better off axis from the S7, which we all know creates more falses than saves.

M4's is terrible. I hate the ramp up on my 9500ix. My only criticism of the detector (it's never as good as my sig indicates )

Totally agree, the S7 ramp up rocks and probably gives a better perception of sensitivity too. However the S7 tones are ear piercing.
