Unsure if 9500IX is updating locations

I have the 9500IX and I installed the 6/22 update. I am still not getting what I thought would be a based alert for the speedcams in Phoenix between Broadway Rd. and 3rd st. Now I am wondering if I am installing the updates correctly. I followed the instructions to the letter. I do get alerts about the speed/red light cam at the intersection of Ocotillo and Arizona Ave. in Chandler. Please advise

Once you have downloaded the latest data bases, make sure you are updating the data base and not the software. There is a progress report in the lower corner that will let you know when the loading is complete.

Yes, i stare at the progress bar till its done. Not all speed cams are in, the database is constantly being updated.

Im going across country on (Chandler to Columbus Ohio to Hampton Virginia and back home and Im hoping this RD will let me do this ticket free as I have a somewhat heavy foot.

I wonder if it makes a difference whether one merges first "your data" and then "updates your Passport" or vice versa?

It should not matter on the order in which you update.

Also, there has only been one software update to my knowledge in the past year and that was in late 2008 as I recall.

Keep in mind RD's are illegal in VA. They can confiscate your RD and hit you with a heafty fine on top of a speeding ticket. They also use Spectre, which is a radar detector detector.
