Traffic Sensor Rejection. It isn't a new threat but a new false alert and a very annoying one at that. There are certain traffic sensors that monitor traffic flow, this data is probably used for GPS providers' real-time traffic alerts. Some of these use radar, I believe K band, and are set up in series along a roadway many times for a long distance. They will make your detector go absolutely crazy, you would know if you are effected by them.

We found how to filter out these sensors while only adding a very small amount of response delay. If you encounter these sensors daily, as many customers have complained about, then you would be more than willing to sacrifice this slight response time for the silence and still be able to detect other signals.

Sounds fishy. Delaying the response time to and already slow M4 based X50...IDK about that.

Well, how else were they supposed to deal with these K band radar drones on an X50? These things go off full blast K band about once a minute or so. I had to deal with them on my SRX and they were awful. The 9500s and V1 have ways to deal with these things, but the X50 had nothing. Neither do the STis for that matter. I assume this option will be coming soon to an STi near you, probably the RX-65 also and maybe a v995.

There's one of these traffic drones at the beginning of this video:

The 9500ix has this feature too and its not a 3 second delay, its a bit more sophisticated. All the blasting Traffic Sensors are quiet now in comparison to my old 9500I. Pretty nice if you ask me. My drive from NC was quiet to these where 2 years ago with my older 9500i it was crazy.

My guess is Escort found the frequency they blast at and there intensity and made a filtering feature to compensate for it.

So what is the latest software for a 9500ix now?

(v1.1) is the most recent, and also the original. However when a new 9500ix is purchased it comes with the new software and TSR.

So im not sure what date this new software will be released but i have confirmed it won’t include the TSR feature. Not sure if the whole QT thing delayed it.

Does anyone know if the new TSR filter on the Escort 9500ix will block out the K band signals from school bus tranmitters? They put two K band transmitters on every school bus in the district here and it makes my detector worthless to use.

Can anyone help me? I need some way to fliter out all these false alerts!
