I would say NO. Some Escort filtering is 500-700ms and Valentine,Whistler are 100-300 ms. I got owned by my X50's by I/O and quick trigger with no alerts.

I was just wondering if it would. It is a back up to my V1. It is always nice to know these things.

Great, don't tell me I bought a dud. About the only alerts I have gotten so far on my X50 are a nice long K Band false alert on my was to work everyday. One KA34.7 coming toward me without much notice as I came over a hill and one KA C/O 33.8 that already had a customer. On the second hit, I saw him before the detector did, in the defense of the detector he was two blocks East of me facing away. This is my first detector, but I thought I would get more notice. I have a long trip planned next week, we will see how it works.

Just out of curiosity how should the detector react as the LEO (if I'm using the term correctly) and my car are traveling in opposite directions? Should it ramp down after we pass. It seemed like I got my 34.7 hit, saw the car 5 seconds later, he passed me and the detector was quiet 5 seconds later. If I think of the terrain correctly I crested over a hill just as I detected him and he went over it as the detector stopped.
