The key here is the arrows, if you really like them you may not want to go without them. However the advantage of the arrows is not as needed with a TrueLock enabled RD.

I have gone through 3 9500i's and a 9500ix only to keep going back to my V1

Ive gone to and from a V1 a bazillion times, no joke- at least 9 or 10. It all depended where I lived. When I was living in a somewhat rural area, it was the shiznit to have ultra sensitivity and the arrows.

When I lived toward the city, the arrows/detector did not help going off all the time. Now, the stretch of highway that I drive to work has installed drones, so only the GPS detectors will work in my situation. V1 was going off constantly up, down, arrows everywhere, bogey meter everywhere- for a 10 minute drive.

Depends on where you live, and personal preference.

The 9500ix does have a rear laser sensor, but it's 100% useless, just like the rear laser sensor on every other RD, including the V1. [/quote]

I will disagree with that, the rear laser detection is very sensitive on the V1, it picks up Infiniti's from behind. I would say you never know with laser scatter, not saying it will save you but still never know.

I have passed a laser trap, which was pointed at the opposite side of the highway and around a bend, as I pass driving in the direction he is shooting laser, I have gotten a laser alerts from the rear. This was actually a fairly common occurrence as well.

V1's laser (even from the rear) is untouchable.

    x2.

My 9500ix has gotten warning from front laser every time, even when i wasn’t the target. However i have never been alerted by the rear sensor, just the other day a LEO was shooting traffic coming towards me and no alert from rear scatter whatsoever.

I have actually been pretty amazed with the 9500ix's lasers sensitivity. Was just driving this passed weekend and got behind a Porsche in the right lane, as we were approaching a shady bridge and bam laser alert. And that was off the Porsche.

My V1's rear laser sensitivity is excellent. I've had experience with it both against real-world laser hits and in controlled testing. The testing revealed that, on my Volkswagen, with its very tall, vertical rear trunk surface, it has a small blind spot to license plate hits from very close in, but other than that, it alerts about 100% of the time.

OK, there's no way in hell that anyone will get a laser detector save from a rear laser attack. Rear laser shots are almost exclusively at point-blank range. The backs of cars give up instant PTs almost every single time. Without a very good jammer on the back of a car, you're done for. Ask me how I know.

That's not what I've seen at all. I almost never get a rear laser alert from my V1 until 800ft-ish when testing my rear jammers. Now, my rear window is much smaller than yours, so that might be part of it. I'm sure I'd get more reliable rear laser alerts with the top down, but my LI is loud-as-f**k, so I do all of my testing with the top up, so as not to disturb anyone besides myself.
