k band lockout

thought ide share what happened the day using the 9500ci. First off' i had some issue with the control module's volume button having to be pushed extremely hard for it to function.
Sent it in for repair, but guesse what, of course , it got lost along the way. Wether at Escort or in the mail who knows , having no tracking info i'm sh*t out of luck. My fault i know,but i'de say something was fishy. Talking to a customer service person at Escort with a somewhat sarcastic attitude in the way he talked to me, did me no good. But this is another issue.

Moving on, still using the 9500ci without anyway to control it , i was driving along with a leo , with constant on k band on in his cruiser one car ahead of me.
I ended up following him for about 3 or 4 miles, and wouldn't you know it, through one of my locked out areas,a large strip mall/plaza that has several k band falses locked out, and sure enough it silenced his k band as we went through this area.

This is quite unnerving as i travel this route alot, and my chances of encountering this leo in this area again are good. When i get my new $80.00 contro,l i can tell you i will be unlocking all curently locked out location and starting over, using it very sparingly,if at all, manualy.

Yes this can happen, in my sticky below is a good reference as to what TrueLock is doing and how to use it in Low/High Risk areas.
You can still utilize this feature, but like you said you may want to use it manually and sparingly.
