Yep, the V1 averages about a 15% advantage on K band over the 9500ix from my testing. That means slightly better range and noticeably more falsing.
is there any way that the rampup can be fixed? is there a software upgrade / firmware upgrade to fix this? its very frustrating when it seems like you are being hit with full blast I/O all of a sudden. I bought mine from bestbuy about a month ago so its probably an old firmware version with crappy rampup. what do you think?![]()
Wow, im surprised at how similar the ramp ups were. Even the V1 stuttered a bit, not as bad as the 9500I but still. I guess the ramp up isn’t as bad as we thought. Just ramps up to full faster.
In areas that are more dense with traffic & buildings the ramp up can be more sporadic. But then again it’s not the end of the world having a ramp up like that on a GPS enabled RD.

I did the Firmware upgrade on a 9500i and it made the thing useable.
Having been spoiled with over a decade of V-1 'partnership' the original-issue 9500i seemed psychotic. K-band response was inconsistant and the ramping issue unbelievably annoying.
The upgrade also made it possible to MarkLocation during an alert. TrueLock is still useless on K-band. QT is not much of an issue for us, as a rural ambush is generally LIDAR.
My S7 X50 (Escort product) has good ramp up. If the V1's ramp up is a 10 the S7's is an 8 or 9 for sure.
My M4 9500ix is a 5 or 6.![]()
