search not helping... use POP on 9500ix?

of course this question is not specific to the 9500ix, and sorry for any reposting, but i struck out on the search multiple times.

Q: should i disable POP on my 9500ix (factory setting on 9500i is 'off')? Pros/Cons to disabling POP, please? thanks for your experience & help!

pop on the 9500ix is pretty unbearable, i'd leave it off

Pros: Not as many false alerts

Cons: None

POP on Escort is a waste of time. Turn it off.
