    Wow, nice review.

I can't imagine how detailed a detector review would be

Good review, I've had my mount about a month I really like it. Holds a lot better I think, and I agree with you it looks classier.

Instead of using 2 small suction cups, I would think that 1 larger one would hold better. Ive had nothing but problems with the 2 dinky ones on multiple cars. I had a radar back in the day (do not remember the model), but used 1 large cup. Never had any issues with it.

The curvature of the windshield and the level mounting necessary requires more than one suction cup. I agree that the suction cups are too dinky i also think the new mount sucks, it doesn’t fix any of the current issues and potentially adds the possibility of more issues.

Here is mine (I made a video review so people could actually see it working)... showing the good/bad things much more in-depth then words can convey.

I have been using it for a month, and just today I took an hour or so this afternoon to make this for you forum members who might be seeing this mount soon and for Escort to see hopefully:

A "thanks" to Escort, and I hope they like the feedback.
Thanks for this. Very, very nice review.

Thanks everyone for the compliments, I am glad it turned out so well after being put together so quick...

We will see what comes of this in the future...

Mine has failed already. The left suction cup loses contact after a few minutes. I'm thinking the hole isn't being pluged properly with the quick release and the loss of vacuum causes it to release. Too bad, too, because I really liked how easy it was to take off the windshield.

That's a great idea, someone should make one like that and patent it

BTW, you can still get these from Escort if anybody still wants to try one.

Mine came off once with the 8500 held on with one cup Why is so hard to design a mount with big cups that stick?
