Well its all just a matter of time. When speed cameras first came out using high power Ka 34.7 the older detectors and still the likes of RMR couldn't pick them up until you were on top of them.

So these new ones should be no different. Just give it a couple of years before we're back to picking them up at 400 meters again.... Hopefully

RedLine detects K band at a greater distance than any other windshield mounted radar detector, it is your best defense against low powered radar.

Some radar units used by mobile speed cameras are horizontally polarized. Tilting the detector on it's side will increase the detection range for these. Please note that tilting the detector on it's side can also severely decrease the range of other, normal, police radar. You can see this effect for yourself with your current detector by finding a false alert signal, such as a door opener. While the detector is alerting to this radar signal tilt it on it's side while watching the strength meter.

Police radar is typically vertically or circularly polarized due to less interference thus greater range.
