NO the Escort rep said it had the same antenna as the 9500i/ix which is not undetectable. The STI-R has the same antenna as the 9500ci which is a more sophisticated antenna.

If you want undetectable go with the STI-R or even better the 9500ci Euro.

Thanks for info - hopefully somebody could confirm that.

9500ci - too much accessories - not needed
STi-R - as long as You can get one

Yep, Batman is correct. The Qi45 uses the M4 antenna, which is detectable by Spectre. If you want an undetectable remote, the STi-R and 9500ci are your only choices.

The 9500ci Euro comes without the ZR4 shifters.

The STI-R is sold out at radarbusters, but countermeasuresdirect has some.

    Batman,
I am more than happy to go to the V1 (and become a zombie) I just haven't been able to locate an actual hard install similar to the 9500ci or the STI-R. Where can I purchase this so, because the main reason I want to switch detectors or upgrade is for the non-windshield mount detector.

Here is an example of a non windshield stealth install of a V1.
    http://www.radardetector.net/forums/...v1-mirror.html

I haven't done this, because I think the 9500ci is a better RD, but if I did do it, I would do this in one of 2 ways:

Option 1 - Place CD in mirror or in other stealth location. Use motorcycle audio control unit as a remote volume, on-off module. Place the V1 inside the rear center headrest or any other hidden location that does not interfere with radar reception. Most concealed locations will cause loss of laser detection, but that feature isn't useful anyway.

Option 2 - Use a Cheetah mirror for V1 alerts and display, use the motorcycle module for on-off. Place the V1 in a concealed location as with option 1. This option is a little more expensive but yields a better solution with GPS alerts, voice alerts for V1, and some limited filtering ability.

You should check this with an actual V1 expert before proceeding if its something that appeals to you. I haven't had a V1 for a couple of years.
