Thus begins the "high" vs. "low" debate....

It actually looks like the one i posted above is better than the one they offered earlier for a windshield mount so it doesn't stick out into the cabin so much, and can be mounted really high but attach below the dots.

Better for GPS enabled RD's, I may have to try one out.

I thought there was really no debate; i.e. high is the best for radar (and stealth), low if you want a better chance of laser detection. But since laser detection is mostly worthless, high is the way to go. That was my impression from reading many threads, anyway.

I guess I'll step aside and watch now too...

    Question Re: Newer Escort mounts.

hummmm! ive seen things like these before on sleazebay.... but i think the only reason one would get something like this is if you live in california? where you cant have anything hanging off your windshield no?

Escort made these for places that don't allow for any windshield mounted obstructions. Or for anyone else and there specific purpose.

In California you can get a citation for anything that is blocking your view, doesn't have to be attached to the windshield. Air freshener hanging off of the rear view mirror, handicap placard, budget crises.
