    Default Cool Trick Install Kit

Escort came out with this custom install radar and laser kit. Crimper looks useful.

That crimping tool looks like a piece of crap. The working surface is only about 1/8" wide, it's hard to judge when to stop squeezing, and it's awkward to have to wrap it around a wire you're already holding together.

I far prefer the ratcheting kind that look like this.

X2, after you've run as many network cables as I have (thousands!) you really start to appreciate how important it is to buy a decent crimping tool.

The crimper in this kit looks like a $30 one i bought, which is pretty nice.

And the whole kit is like $30.

Dunno why but a reply I listed yesterday didn't post.

Anyway... this kit has been available from Escort for some time now but only advertised through their 9500ci installation video. I guess the fact that you need to have a dealer login/password to watch the video limited their potential sales so they obviously wised up and now it's listed in accessories to gain "end user" sales.

supercowpowers and voyager7 have shown good quality versions of this crimp tool... any good installer should have a pair of these in their tool chest.
