Default Any noticable Falsing with Redline?

I am not sure if I am getting any kind of falsing. But I seem to get KA alerts the last couple days with no cops in sight? Wondering if anybody is experiencing the same or is this detector just that sensitive? I have only had the detector for 4 days so it could be just me.

Seems like the detector it replaced the sti rarely had a false KA alert.

Most likely a leaky Cobra..... they are the most common source of Ka falses.

I rarely see a false Ka. One thing that happens is you get a Ka alert from a LEO who may be down some side or adjacent street, as the off-axis is quite strong on Redline. I was getting an unusual Ka alert on a certain part of the interstate each afternoon, got strong then silent, but no LEO in sight. On the last day I looked around more and finally noticed a Sheriff in a 4WD truck running radar on one of the rural roads about a half mile from the freeway. Just to be sure I doubled back and drove past him - sure enough he was the culprit. (Same frequency, etc)

I'm running spec mode for the next couple weeks to see what KA is the culprit. Could be cops down side streets or something silly too.

Yea keep us posted on what it is or freq. it is. I hope that it does not false because Ka is all that is used here in my city.

Cobras and some low-mounted satellite dishes are the only things I've seen that cause Ka falses.

In spec mode it's pretty easy to tell what you're up against. Most falses are in the 33.6 range. If you see something in the 34.7, 35.5 or 33.8 neighborhood (+/- 100 Mhz or so) then you're most likely picking up a LEO.

The Redline is so sensitive to off-axis radar that it can pick up LEOs on side streets more readily than most other detectors as well.

Maybe satellite dishes are the reason my Pro78SE goes off in the middle of nowhere. It does it at the same spot basically. I'm out in the country (visiting her parents) driving down a two lane RD and the Whistler goes to full KA alert.

The first time it got my attention real quick coming over a hill with no traffic around. Then I remembered there's not a KA LEO in the town. LOL

Fwiw in the same spot on highway mode (last night) the Redline didn't even notice it.

I own a sti for few years.
I bought my redline few days ago, returning home I had installed
both .... in 2 instances the sti alerted to 34.8 but not the red ??
with no active leo in sight

My red is made :5209 bought on the march 17 from the maker direct .

On the same run the red alerted 1 second before for ka from
a busy leo writing a customer , dont remember the freq ...
both were on the dash distanced 6 inches , not supposed to talk
    to each other ...

and hence hold the enemy's fate in our hands.
