If you're talking about the factory hardcase, it's sooooo freakin big it's ridiculous. The one they sell optionally is just one big opening, meaning your cord/mount will be scraping the detector. Both, IMO are absolutely useless.
Yes i mean the factory case. Its way too big and I didnt want to spend 20 or 30 on another case and I definitely don't want the detector getting scraped. Doesn't Escort know how much tis thing cost!?

I think the new "travel case" that comes with the new X50s is better than that clunky aluminum/pleather thing.

Just got this today and it fits the Redline perfect! And has a handle to carry it. I put my original suction cup mount in there also in case my "super cup" fails when I'm on the road.

The black one I bought on ebay was supposedly damaged. At least that's what the seller said.. The guy gave me my money back before he even sent it out.

I made him an offer. He countered, I countered, he accepted. I paid and then two days later he refunds my money.. Strange..

I saw a black one at Best Buy for $22.00.. I passed.

I have 3-4 WM's I'll hit to see if they have any in black.. If not, I have some store credits from BB, I'll pick on up there..

My local Walmart didn't have them when I first posted this, now they have a whole shelf full of black ones.

Yeah, this happened at my local WM this morning. They were out of the black last week, or didn't stock them (according to associate). Then all of the sudden this morning they had more black cases than blue. lol So, I finally have a case in black.

I have found (in my experience) you can't rely on WM's site, or an associate for what they have, or will have in stock.. You pretty much have to be there to see for yourself.

Yeah, went to a different WM today, and they had nothing BUT black, go figure.

That's why I like the black, you put it on the floor of your car and it disappears. The way the pouch is made inside is perfect for not getting scratches on the detector from accessories.
