Just as I stated and someone just stated the same but backwards, the V1 can FLASH only one arrow at a time, the strongest. Flash, not lit! Please re-read the whole sentence. Folks, the C.P. comment is a joke, somebody did not catch on.

The test itself just seems fabricated to me though. Fourteen mile detections! We have several posters that transit the deserts and have not seen more than 7 miles at best. I actually believe the average user will see a much larger performance difference on Ka band between the V1 and RedLine than what his "tests" indicate ESPECIALLY around bends and over hills. I dunno.......maybe I just have a real hot RedLine.

And the BS about the V1 falsing 4x the RedLine! That is total nonsense! My RedLine, in Highway mode, falses MORE than the V1 on K-Band sensors because it is more sensitive than the V1 on K-Band!!! Since it's impossible for any RD to differentiate real Radar from a door sensor, it's also impossible for one to be more sensitive to the real thing while ignoring the motion sensors. Why does this guy continously attempt to shovel $hit ?

Bottom line..........after years of fudging the numbers, I cannot bring myself to believe anything this guy has to say about any RD........good or bad!

Edit: Just one more gripe. Even now, after years and years of testing the world's best detectors, the world's formost expert on RD's Still hasn't learned how to program a V1! I say it's time to throw in the towel CP!

One thing is for sure, whenever there is a CP review linked on this forum, crap hits the fan!

Exactly, but I'm trying to say it's not the same one during an alert. For instance, I posted on here last summer I went through a town of about 10,000 people. My V1 went crazy, showing 8,7,5,8,5,6,8 bogeys, rear arrow flashing, then the front, then the rear again, then the back, K band flashing, then X band flashing, then K band, then X band. And all this time I'm sitting at a stoplight with no LEO in sight. It reminded me that when I go back through there (which was the following week) to use my 9500 instead.

The V1 is a HIGHWAY RD unless you have it hooked up to a Cheetah Mirror, so around town use the 9500, when you want to get serious about speeding on the highway then pull out the V1/Redline/CI/STi-R.

    What's going on here........

    "Dual-antenna Design"
Adding a second forward-facing radar antenna (Beltronics (BEL) STi Driver, Escort RedLine) significantly increases a detector's sensitivity, the range at which it can spot radar. This practice is hugely expensive, the reason why only a couple of high-end models use two antennas. (One model, the [replacer_a] or V1, has a second antenna, but it faces rearward. Under some conditions this gives it nearly the same detection range for radar coming from behind. But radar behind you is [replacer_a], and competing detectors have one to four miles of rear detection range using their front antenna, making the V1's unique arrangement of questionable value.)

Look at the attachment to the my post.

The guy's in fairy land. Oh BTW looks like he's starting to go after the cobra end of the market (the biggest) must of been a brief by the bell CEO. Arr now I remember why I dislike the bell products......
In the part you highlighted red, he's saying the V1's front and rear antennas give nearly the same range, which is true a lot of the times. He's not saying the V1 almost matches the Redline in rear detection.
    Arr sorry my bad.
Ok then here's a complete misrepresentation/misguide of the funtion of the V1 control knob

"The Valentine One, in comparison, has one rotary multi-function switch to handle everything. Mode changes take 10 times longer, averaging 2.1 seconds, a noticeable delay if you're moving fast and otherwise engaged in the task of driving. And there's no auto mute, no user-selectable preferences, no multi-step display brightness—there's one-step auto dimming only—or alternate visual displays, for instance.

This is because of the Manuel mute. He treat's the general public like they are truly dumb. This man doesn't give a fear and accurate test report, never has and never will

And there's no auto mute,no user-selectable preferencesValentine One
    largely a non-issue

Would somebody pls email him this link for the love of god.
Hey and who's the rehab Zombie friend in the BMW 540i. Sure hope that not the Veil Guy
