Which radar detector is the long-range champ?

Escort RedLine versus Valentine One: Comparison Test and Review.

While some may not like the person doing the test. This is (I guess) the only test I've seen of them head to head like this.

Can't wait until GOL does their testing this year.

If you read the post, it looks like the Redline is the choice for off axis. V1 and Redline tie for range. I/O = tie, QT = V1 is the king.

Looks good to me. My Redline beats the V1 on all the K band signs I've tested it against.

Most owner reviews I've read rate the Redline's over the hill and around corner range as excellent, which seems to gel with this test.

What good does a 14 mile range detector do if it can't pick up Q/T at close range.

Hey, current or former V1 users: does Peterson's commentary as regards superb Ka performance -- especially at 35.5 GHz -- mesh with your own observations of the Redline?

That's because he's the only one stupid enough to not realise how invalid this method is.

If this test rubs the Administrators, or MODS the wrong way you can delete both threads in the V1 and Escort forum.

I didn't mean to step on any toes, this wasn't my intentions. I came across his forum from Veilguys blog today, and thought it was interesting..

LOL, there is no better way to get the V1 guys fired up than post a Craig Peterson test.
