Do you run the V1 and Redline at the same time?

I've tried the V1 twice and came back to the Escorts both times. If they would put some effort into the thing it would be worthwhile, but it's a stagnant, dated product.
Haha, good point. I shouldn't have made such a username. :-) I hope I do end up keeping the Redline after the 30 day trial. I am just worried about QT mode. However, as I mentioned I believe Escort can modify the Redline software so it will be able to detect the short bursts of radar pulses. I don't think it has anything to do with hardware modification. It will probably false more though if QT detection is improved.

I think their next major detector will address the Q/T issue. It may have arrows too.

What we really need is some legitimate competition in the high end detector segment ... that would force changes and keep the prices in check. If only Whistler or somebody would step up.

No, never. I don't believe anything subjective can be found running the two together. The Redline would suffer from the V1, but the V1 wouldn't even "see" the Redline.

Then how do you know if QT is used in your area or not?

He asked because you can't be sure if your area runs QT or not if you are just using a Belscort product. Only way a lot of people here find out is when they run their V1 and 9500CIs together, and have the CI miss a full blast alert.

Or, when you see the cop with a Stalker out the window, point it at traffic, puts it down, multiple times, and your detector only alerts once or twice...

EDIT: Seems Snoopy replied before I could...

Wow, been using detectors for over 30 years, and now I don't know what I'm doing? How would you know if it's used in your area? If you get an alert on your V1, does that automatically mean a Belscort wouldn't have alerted? How would you know unless you run both?

This whole QT thing is the last string for V1 zombies to hold on to. Hold on tight, it's all you got. And it's a ghost.

I never said that you don't know what you are doing. All I asked was how do you know if QT is used in your area or not.

I run my 9500ci and V1 at the same time and have seen my 9500ci miss QT. Check out my videos.

Hey, I'm not trying to pick a fight. Like I said in my other post, the whole QT issue depends on if it is used in your area or not. I will admit QT is very rare but it still exists. I think we have had two forum members post that they got tickets because of QT.
