Default Not happy with condition of 8500 X50 after tune up

I sent my X50 back a few weeks ago, Ka band seemed to have shorter range. I received it today. The front lense was scratched up badly and also the rear display lense. It was near perfect when I sent it to Escort, I packed it very well. I expected it to be returned in the same condition as I sent it. I took great care of this detector now the cosmetic condition is terrible. It was poorly packed in the return box, had a piece of plastic slipped over it. Either it was just handled careless at Escort or being poorly packed in the return box allowed it to slide around unprotected. This is my second Escort detector and probably my last.

I seen this on another thread posted by a Escort rep:

We will digitally test your X50 to be sure that it is operating at peak performance. We will also replace worn casing and lenses, be sure it has the latest software installed, and throw in a new SuperCup heavy duty windshield mount ($19.95 value) when we return it to you. Your Passport will look and perform like new again.

Well, I didn't get new lenses or the new Super cup windshield mount.

Are you sure they sent you your unit back? Do you have a record of the serial number?

Yes, I have record of the serial number and it is the same. That was the first thing I checked when I got it today.

Contact them and have them correct it. I would give them the opportunity to replace the casing before you cut ties with them.

Frustrating, no doubt, but hopefully they will do right by you.

I will call them Monday to see what they will do about it. I am traveling that day , so I will call them from the road. I will post what they did or will not do about it.

My X50 is one that can take the TSR software. My FCC ID ends with M4. How do I know if they installed TSR or not? I seen posts where some say, you do not want that installed. Thanks

TSR should show up as an option in the programming menu where you turn bands on and off.

If you don't need TSR, don't turn it on.
