X2, i still have to look at the V1 closely to see if its alerting to K or KA just above or below the arrows corner up pointer.

For C/O alerts that ramp up gradually, this isn't an issue since you can easily tell the brap from the double-brap with weaker alerts, but if you get an I/O hit and it goes right to brapabrapabrapabrapa it isn't obvious if it's K or Ka right away, until you hear the voice alert or look at the display. The V1 is the same way but on the Redline the full-scale Ka is a different "brap rate" than the lower-level Ka alerts where the double brap is distinguishable. Almost like the braps get joined together at full scale.

Something along the lines of the X50's "LOUD" mode Ka alert would have been nice to have on the Redline.
    not on MY V-1(s)
K and Ka audio are easily discernible at any strength or volume

muted volume, weak X or K is quite another matter
I'm procrastinating on a languy color upgrade to the CD

WHEN Escort puts a front and rear antenna and directional notice for the radar signal's direction, I sure hope the incorporate the voice to say "Ka Rear" or "Ka Front" so I don't need to look at the unit's display.

I use in-ear phones on most all of my Escorts (some I hide on motorcycles) and that feature is a MUST HAVE for me! Pumping the Escort's earphone jack's audio through the Autocom has save me the price of admission alone on the Redline and the 9500ix.
