    Default 8500x50 (s7) Speaker ?

I broke out the old 8500x50 this week and I noticed I had to turn the thing all the way up just to hear it over the radio. My 9500ix and 9500i at about half volume are super loud. And the Redline I have to turn all the way up, it's not as loud as the 9500 but it's better than the 8500x50. Has anyone else noticed that the speaker in the 8500x50 is weak or is mine just getting old?

I haven't noticed any problems with my S7. It's plenty loud for me even at half way.. Of course my radio isn't turned all the way up either. LOL

Heck I have to turn the Redline down to two or three bars. It becomes annoying as hell. Especially if I have the voice on.

Some of the older units speakers went bad easy so the speaker may need to be replaced. I have had plenty of speakers go bad. Even my Redline, just had a speaker replacement. The Redline is much better now that I had the speaker replaced.

I also noted the volume low on the 8500x50. But I'm also driving either a convertible or a truck - neither are very quite vehicles However, you can program it to the alternate tones which I found to be considerably louder.
