I'll bet dollars to donuts that they'll pawn the thing off and use the money to buy drugs or alcohol or something...

I should hit up all the local pawn shops to see if my X50 showed up at any of them.
report it as stolen and if you do and the pawn shop gets it they have to hand it over to the police and you get it back cost free the pawn shop eats it

atleast in Vegas they have to hold items for 30days for the police to look for stolen items Seen this on Pawnstars

Man I understand the pain of loosing the X50...sorry for your loss.

Had my 9500ix stolen out of my other car about 3 months ago (thanks honey). It is hard to describe just how vunerable and angry I felt after it was gone. I was sooo ready to strangle someone!

I guess something good did come from it, I cleaned out my garage (finally) so I could keep the stealth mobile inside once I got my new 9500ix.

One cool thing about the new 9500ix..seems to be a bit more sensitive than the old one.

Two things about your post Kawz...

1). Sorry about your misfortune. Makes me shiver to think of my 9500ix being stolen.

2). I also have a very new 9500ix and it does seem more sensitive (picks up better) than some people seem to say about theirs. I wonder if there's any fact to your suspicion about the newer models having the sensitivity up just a bit? I have picked up Ka band a good 2 miles + from the source and there were gentle bends in the road and it wasn't 100% flat. I was quite impressed until I read all the V1 and redline guys saying how much better theirs RD's picked up signals.

Concerning the OP.....
Does your wife work? Mine would simply insist on replacing it. she's great that way. And since she makes mega bucks, I would be happy to oblige her :-)

It is a bit concerning watching the videos of the V1 battling it out with the 9500ix, but the times are in the 2-3 second delta range. I'm not sure if I want to add another RD to my window for the additional time since the advanced warning from each seems to be enough. I am still considering an M3 ant install though.

(my wife works too and brings in a bit more bacon, so I will probably ask her for permission to get the CI in my BMW... she is soooo sexy and cool about my hang-ups )

If I needed another RD I'd be checking out the 9500ix. But I still have more RDs than cars, so I'll just be taking one (the RX65) out of standby and using that when I drive her car.

If I had the S/N of the X50 handy I would report it, but I don't.

I should have kept that POS Uniden in her car, just for such an occasion. Any douche bag who will steal something deserves the biggest POS I can give them.
