9500ix Or Redline ???

Against the K band speed signs in my area it is generally Redline > V1 > S7 X50 > 9500ix ... however, the difference is almost always negligible. Certainly never enough of a distance that would be the difference between a save and a loss.

The only Ka 34.7 sign I've tested them against were exactly equal ... there is a big hill before the sign and they all alert immediately at the crest. That's obviously not a great comparison since the hill clearly blocks the signal 100%. It was still some 2 miles away so plenty of time to record the save.

The perfect solution to your concerns is the 9500ci, a bit expensive but would be a perfect fit (Redline/9500ix in a remote unit).

As for Redline vs 9500ix they both have there own advantages like you mentioned. For me if the choice had to be one it would be he 9500ix, the features coupled with its above average sensitivity is very good, and its very well rounded. However the Redline is definitely more sensitive, but that's it.

Try them both for 30 days and decide for your self.

My guess is the Redline will be a better fit for a Mustang owner, unless its a V6 (which the GT's are not).

I thought about the 9500ci but I also want to get a laser jammer and I didn't think the 9500ci performed as well as an LI Quad. That was why I was looking at getting a separate RD. It would be nice if someone had a one-stop solution but from what I've read the LI is superior to the Escort in jamming capabilities

When you use detector tools it saves your marked/locked locations, you can forward the file to Escorradar on the Escort forum for him to look at.

I looked online and the 9500ci sounds pretty good. If you buy it directly from Escort you can get an install card for $399, which puts the entire system in your car for under 2K.
I could buy the 9500ix and and LI Quad for about the same price but I don't know how much they would charge to have it professionally installed.
Do you still think getting the 9500ci is a better route ?

The 9500ci is a great RD but has terrible jammers. You where on the right track with LI. I would rather have LI jammers and a Redline or V1 than I would have a 9500ci.

If you're in the Seattle area, you will be up against Ultralytes....and lots of them. The ZR4s will not do well on a Mustang against an Ultralyte. You need an LI. Also, there are lots of K band drones around the Olympia - Tacoma area. Both the RedLine and the 9500ix have very effective ways to deal with these, especially the 9500ix.

I'm closer to Portland but my car will be a weekend warrior so I'm sure I will see everything the NW has to offer.
It sounds like my original idea of a 9500ix or Redline combined with a LI Quad is still the best option.
Is the LI Quad necessary or is the Dual sufficient? It is about half the price and I've heard that 95% of lasers are used from the front
What do you think I can expect to pay to have it all professionally installed ?
