Daaaamn man. That sucks because the 8500 is the cheapest detector I can buy that tells frequency info.
I guess I'll just have to make do with my V1 or save up for a STI or something

There are many of us that run a remote mounted M3 Belscort with a V1. Anything else and you are taking a risk. There is even a video around here of a RedLine and an STi interfering with each other. I suggest you not run two detectors inside the same cabin, regardless of what they are.

The bolded part is NOT correct. The 9500i does allow you to block out signals you deem false. You press the mute once to silence the alarm. Press it again and it will ask you if you want to lock out the signal, and press once more to confim.

The only difference between the 9500i & the 9500ix is that the ix allows you to download the database of red light cameras.
    Almost guys.

The main difference between the 9500i & the 9500ix is that the ix allows you to download the database, and has the ability to automatically lock and unlock falses.

The IX allso has muting of alerts under 20mph, AutoPower, Auto No X setting, and the mark locations radious is smaller as well.
