Sounds about right... Escorts service department sucks big ones compared to VR's... dreading sending in my S7 unit to them... that thing is gonna get butchered there.
I have to send my V1 in all the time... needs to be sent in right now (just been chillen for a few months)... I send it in: From their receive date... if I don't hear something back on the 2nd day (after) the receive date... I call wondering why Mike hasn't contacted me (in my note I always tell him to call)...
Normally back within a week on their end (shipping included in that time-frame).
Haha I read more and more threads about people having to send their RedLine back in. Not too good. Guess it also depends where you live and how hot the unit gets. Also, if you leave the unit up all the time.

I never left mine up in the sun. I would leave it in the car, but I would pull it down when parked, and place it in cubby hole out of direct sunlight. When driving on hot day, I blast one of my A/C vents directly onto the unit, and it is cool to the touch when on in the car - also displaced back away from windshield with super cup. I babied it, but it still went south. As long as this only happens ONCE, I'm ok.
My only issue now is thinking about my long trip across the desert with zero protection, due to my Redline still in the return queue in West Chester, Ohio. I do know the hiding places, so should be ok, but I will be driving on a Friday, which usually packs more enforcement.
