Is there a 9500ci that doesn't come with laser shifting?

Hi all. I'm going to be picking up a Blinder M47 laser jammer system and I want concealed radar detection to go with it. The 9500ci is appealing, as I have an X50 and I love it. Thing is, it's expensive, and obviously a lot of what I'm paying for is the laser shifting units, which I don't need. Is there a version of it that is sold as just integrated radar detection?

STi-R Plus is the closest thing and it's not markted in the U.S. Other then that if you don't need GPS the STi-R, which has been discontinued, may still be available at some retailers.

all 9500cis come with the laser shifters unless you can get a refurbished one or a used one from some one or off ebay.

not in america, but doesn't mean you can't buy it online elsewhere and get it shipped to the us.

An even better question -- is all of the functionality in the STI-R Plus (i.e. band segmentation) specific to the CPU and software, or does the radar horn itself matter?

IOW, if I were to manage to order just a replacement CPU for an STI-R Plus from a Canadian Escort shop (i.e. one CPU broke and they order just another CPU), would it be a direct swap to a 9500ci system?

Or, I could order the STI-R Plus, and sell a 9500ci with red display and buttons on eBay without having to rewire the whole car...

to the OP: there is the Escort "Qi45," but the radar horn on it isn't as good as what the 9500ci / STI-R use. It also doesn't have GPS functionality, which to me is an absolutely killer feature.

I've already sunk the money on the 9500ci (before I knew the lidar section sucked)... I just wish they would update it to add band segmentation for the QT Ka reception. Otherwise it is a terrific unit.
