Did I make the Right Choice

Hello again everyone,

I dont typically post in the Escort forums but I wanted to get all of your opinions. I bought the V1 and have been using it about 2 weeks. Havent really found any LEO's up to this point and am continuing to use it everyday. I was browsing the forums today and I have been continually debating whether or not the V1 was the right choice for me. The 9500ix looks very technologically advanced and I was curious whether or not I might have been better with the 9500. I do hear though that the 9500 doesnt have the performance of the V1 but then again I think towards the future and which device is going to be the better investment. Thanks alot everyone and I look forward to hearing all of your input. I am still within my 30 day warranty so If need be I can try the 9500. Also, what is the 30 day free test drive escort offers? That is something you will have to decide.I think the V1 is a better RD.

You should be choosing between the V1 and the Redline not the IX! I like my arrows but alot of people say the Redline has more range.

Coming from someone who has used both.

V1. I'd even take my V1 over my redline any day.

Well it's a hard decision to make. The v1 is a stronger performer but I'm curios when it comes to which one is going to last longer technologically. I also live in socal so I'm not sure :-) I'll probably stick with my v1 I think all the minor bells and whistles of the 9500 are clouding my decision.

The V1 will always out perform the IX.. IMO. Unless escort plans on making a revamped version of the IX or something.. the V1 will always beat it....again.. my opinion.

I never used the truelock on my 9500i, i used it once and i blocked out a false area, and then later i passed a LEO running K band. My STI R went, but not the 9500i. The KA rampup is awful. I never had the speed camera database version. but we don't have speed cameras. and the ones i've passed in MD my V1 can pick them up easy. Besides.. there are signs saying speed cameras..

Not to mention my friends ix completely didn't alert at all to a NY State Trooper on the other side of the highway running c/o ka 35.5. My v1 alerted a bit weak, but it still alerted!

the 9500ix is a great detector. I keep hearing about truelock errors, but my newer unit has never had that issue. I drive in the city limits 75 percent of the time and the detector is silent unless it is a real threat. I love it.

If I was doing 75 percent highway driving the a V1 or redline would probably be my choice. I think we are all hoping the next generation mates the best of all 3 detectors.
