There are drones that emit constantly the speed sensors operate a little differently.

Traffic Sensors are frequency modulated, meaning they operate within the K-Band but that the carrier frequency is constantly changing. The sensor can therefore detect multiple vehicles in it's field of view by being able to measure the time of each pulse return............since every pulse is at a different frequency.

Escort's TSR simply analyses K-Band signals to determine if the freqency is held constant.........if so, it's not a traffic sensor. On the other hand, if the K-Band frequency is constantly changing then it's a traffic sensor and the alert is blocked.?

I don't suspect there is anything new here as far as TSR "technology"......otherwise Escort would have slapped a patent on it.

Yeah......that was my post a while back, but I have to sprinkle some crow sauce on it and admit that is not likely how TSR works. There are traffic sensors that operate frequency modulated but that does not appear to be the case with speedinfo's sensors.......these appear to be CW (continuous wave) pulses that last ~250 milliseconds. Therefore TSR might be even simpler than I guessed at first requiring a signal to be present for a minimum amount of time.

If that's the case there is no need for TSR at all, Escorts miss 300ms shots all the time. lol

Yeah, you can see in VG's video that the 9500ix ignored quite a few "pulses" even with TSR disengaged. That might be some small consolation for old S7 owners who can't get TSR..........just turn on POP, that ought to slow down K-Band enough to miss the majority of these traffic sensor emissions.

Whats odd to me is the traffic sensors i have come across the duration was much, much longer and stronger. Or at least i thought they were traffic sensors.

Not odd to me at all, I'm going to post some video on what I have here since it seems that my documentation is failing to make a dent in this forum. Bottom line is the traffic sensors here, which are also speed monitoring sensors, not the same ones that veil guy did his video on, are immune to TSR mode. They are only stopped by GPS lockout. Will post video soon.
