I was told M$FT is working on the problem and Escort will send an email to registered users when it is fixed. It will not involve changing Detector Tools app. I tried running in XP compatibility mode, uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. It's a Windows 7 driver issue. For now, I use another computer running either Vista or XP to do my updates.
If you believe that I have a bridge to sell you. It's because of the company Escort uses for Obfuscation (to prevent reverse engineering their code). The company they use are a complete hack. I used them once and it was a nightmare. Basically the Escort install kit ships with a little hacked up piece of the OS. That hacked up piece is no longer compatible. And the OS flags it and won't let it run. It's happened before and it will happen again and again.

I agree. 64bit is an absolute requirement at my work and runs much smoother on memory heavy applications.

I just ran into this Windows 7 SP1 thing with Detector Tools. If Escort knew of this update way back in November, wonder if they are going to extend the subscription for a few months until they get this fixed?

Seems the right thing to do.

If you have SP1 for Windows7 installed on your computer and Detector Tools will not open:

    - uninstall Detector Tools
    - login on our website and download Detector Tools
    - install this new version of Detector Tools. The website says it's still the 11/3/10 version but it's new and Win7 SP1 compatible

32bit won't even see 4 gig. It will see 3 of the 4 gig.
