I see what you're saying. Hmm I guess we'll just have to wait till we can test it to see how well the software fairs.

I think we know how good the software is, its been in the STI-R for a while and on the STI-R Plus. IMO its not going to increase long range sensitivity by much, but it will make it similar to the RedLine and be much quicker.

Software can make or break an RD as we have seen with the 9500CI. The hardware is sooooo beautiful yet the software stinks. Escort's philosophy of less falsing is good and all but let US decide the configuration. No difference than a gaming console where somethign can have better hardware (Sega Master System vs Nintendo Entertainment System where the Sega system had better hardware but Nintendo had better software).

The main difference, to my knowledge, between the Sti-R+ & the 9500ci are the Ka segmentation & RDR features. If so, shouldn't the new 9500ix platform with these same features see the same leaps in performance on the M4 level that are experienced with the Sti-R+ over the 9500ci on the M3 level.

We could assume logically the same percentage increase on the Plus over the CI would correlate to the 9500ix using the same features (Band Seg RDR). But it is a different platform so it may be only slightly more of a percentage or less.

Ill see if i can get one in a few months and test it out.
