What the heck is the latest Firmware for 9500ix and how does one get it?

I have 3 9500ix's

1 - Upgraded from 9500i no TSR no USB Power
2 - Year old with TSR and USB Power
3 - Couple months old

1 & 2 have this freaken bug that you going above 20mph, get hit with a real alert and slow down below 20mph to stop at a traffic light it gets stuck. It so stuck you CAN't even hit mute. The only think that clears it is going above 20mph again. I think if the alert leaves it stays stuck too (not 100% on that).

This situation might seem rare but my commute/Leos/Traffic pattern it happens several times a week.

#3 is my daughters, but she says her 9500ix never does this. My wife was driving her #2 in the area where my daughter drives and my daughter couldn't believe my wifes unit was doing this.

I reported this problem to Escort over 1.5 years ago and they confirmed the problem. When I bought #2 6 months after I had hoped it was fixed. It was not. I gave up. Now it appears in new units it is fixed.

I HATE being blind to what version are in these units.

How do we know what we have?

How do we know what we can get (from web site)?

How do we know what we get if we send it in for a "Tune Up"?

I don't want to hear this crap that you get the "Latest". For all I know it's hardware bug and even if I send it in, it may not get fixed.

I have watched every email and have not seen a firmware update for eons.

Welcome to the world of "Escorts are updatable". They probably discontinued the showing of the software revision due to our analizing and b1tching. It's sad that the normal end user wouldn't even know what a software number meant. They all buy Crapras anyways....
