9500ix not powering on via USB?

Hey, I have an issue with my 9500ix. It was connecting fine to my computer via USB, as it is a model number 22 or later and I have used it before.

It would power on and update with no issue. Now, for some reason it will not turn on via USB at all, nothing comes on the detector when connected. I have tried to hold mrk and brt while plugging it in, and even turning on the power - but nothing has worked. What gives? Is it possible something software wise is keeping it from connecting? Or did the USB port fail on the 9500ix? It powers up fine when connected in the car with the smart cord.

Have you tried a different USB port on the computer or a different USB cord?

When forcing the unit into USB mode by holding down BRT and MRK buttons you have to hold both buttons down for about 5 seconds until you see USB on the display.
