How well does the ZR4 work with the newer 'anti-jam' laser guns? For someone on a budget, a used ZR4 or M20/40 are both good choices given they have shown their long-term durability and effectiveness.

The only differences between the ZR3 and ZR4 are: the lense on the front of the ZR4 enhances performance, the included mounts are different, and the ZR4's ability to jam Laser Atlanta's double pulsed stealth mode.

I don't suppose the lens can be upgraded on ZR3 modules can it? Do you plan on the ZR4 to stay as your current model for a while or is it in the running for an update? I ask as it's obviously update season at Escort with the new X50 and STi M

You cannot have the lense updated. The lense is made into the case of the shifters and they have to be destroyed to be taken apart. You can use ZR4 shifters with a ZR3 interface though. If you are interested in only purchasing the shifter units then please call our service department.

ZR3s have long been obsolete. The ZR4s have been our only shifters for about 3-4 years now. I'm not aware of a newer version being released soon but I also couldn't say anything if there was...
