    Default Passed 20+ LEO's not ONE alert...[X50]

Well, Since I got the RD, after every single LEO I pass, I get no alert at all. I DID have one KA alert which was an LEO I found. But since then, I've probably passed over 20 LEO's...my city is pretty much based on ONE major road (HWY 95). I'm wondering if this sounds normal or maybe the RD is defective? We have two different "types" here "Tribal Police" and "Bullhead City PD." It seems to detect X band pretty good (When I get an X alert I drive towards the nearest auto-doors which is what sets it off).

So what's goin on? All the patrol units have their radars off?

If they are using instant or constant-on .... would the X50 still be able to pick it up? I dont even know what instant/constant actually is, so if you would like to explain that would be helpful too!

In my City many of the units dont even have radar units, they only have 3 or 4 specific units that have radar in them, out of a fleet of oh heck 25/30 id say these days, so its common you can see 5 or 6 LEOs every week in that city... none of which have their radar units on (none of which even have them).

As long as X50 is picking up automatic doors, x&k band and you havent had any self-cal messages, nor service required messages, and you check to make sure all your bands are turned on (X,K,Ka) you should be fine I wouldnt worry about it to much, but with that said be weary until you can 100% confirm it is working, but all of the above would be good indication that it is working properly.

Well, how about the vehicles sitting on the side of the street?

    Just today, I passed three.

In the morning near the elementary school, I passed one and noticed him looking down into his lap. I'm guessing he may just be sitting there to "scare" the people.

When I got near my school, we go down a 2 mile straight away to get there. Hiding behind a bush was another LEO. I dont understand why he would be hiding if he wasn't trying to enforce the speed limit.

And third today, an LEO was parked near the gas station that I usually get a light alert of K band. But this time, when the LEO was directly beside me, the K band went off full alert. Not sure if it was the LEO or maybe something else, not sure.

Also, I decided to enable POP and see how it goes. I got one pop alert this morning for the first time. While I was passing the same area later in the day, it didn't go off. Could it be that a LEO was nearby using POP? What can cause a false POP alert?

    Thanks!

POP with the X50 99.99% of the time means a Cobra (or other junk detector).
(I see you live in Arizona... well I know a few states... Nevada in particular around you use POP.) Odds are though it was a junk detector.

The LEO near the elemantary school could be just there to scare people, or he was looking over papers of a ticket he had just wrote.

The LEO on the 2 mile stretch could have been using very selective instant-on (Troopers up here [NYST] have been known to wait for 5 minutes or more without using instant on one-time ... thats how selective they are at whom they target, so even with the best RD's they can own you, you could be seeing a case of that).

The LEO at the gas station could have used instant on just like I said in the case above.

    Default reset

Hold all THREE button when you turn it on. Factory reset.
Then drive by a WALMART. I get K there always from their doors.

In a state where detectors are legal.... drive a few towns away and ask a LEO to check it out... say you got it from Ebay and think the seller sold you junk...maybe he'll test it out for ya??

You could be in an area that uses mostly laser and pacing or VERY selective instant on.

Can you explain how instant/constant-on is?

And I do notice that many of my friends (including me) have been pulled over and on the ticket it said "pacing". Around here there are sneaky under-cover's that are sometimes hard to notice.
