    Default 9500ix - Rear Laser Port & Magnetic Mounting Base Questions

    I am installing the Passport 9500ix Radar Detector [RD] on my motorcycle.
    I don't know if it is worth the trouble and hassle of mounting the RD near the mirror so that the Rear Laser Port [RLP] can see behind me.
    I have done some research but would like to ask the questions directly.

    1. Is the RLP Only for Laser detection? It does not detect Radar?
    2. Does the RLP work well?
    3. Do Magnetic Mounting Bases {attach magnets to RD bottom} interfere and/or reduce performance?
    4. Is performance reduced when mounting the RD behind a plastic windscreen vs a car glass windshield?
