Concealed my x50!

where is your V1? I've got my X50 right above my rear view mirror. The back end of the X50 rests on the rear view and I can see the display. I'll post pics tmrw.

can mounting it there affect the performance? everyone always says mount high or low close to dash..... just wondering if mounting it there in the corner impacts on the performance?

The only noticable difference you will see mounting high is better detection in traffic.

When I mount my x50 high its hard to read because its so long.

I mount mine above the mirror. I have 16 cars I have never run into a problem reading the display. I dont own a "Cav" so maybe that car has issues. But im also 6'4".

As far as a stealth install goes. I was thinking about a overhead console. If you can find one that sits right/level. Thats what I would do! But that might be hard to find.

I think buying a concealed box and mounting the radar dectector in it would be alot easier. Then mount that to your dash. Leaving the front open so the antenna isnt blocked.

P.S. No more taping radar detectors. If you want to tape crap. Do it with RMR products. :idea: Dont make me write you a rice ticket.
