When one sees deep discounts like these, I think it's safe to say the product MAY be on the way out. I say may because I truly don't know, but with the Max, the 8500, and the S55 going away, it wouldn't surprise me. The 9500ix is a thow back and the Max2 really is the appropriate replacement at this point.
