The way I see it, it does not matter, if you are targeted and the RD does not go off, it is not like he was going to out brake a laser gun. Now revers the situation if he was following you and his RD was mounted high, cop lasers you, and now the Escort gets a chance to pick up scatter.

So swap RD's for your next test. Put the V1 in the car that is not getting an alert from the X50, and put the X50 in the car following the action to see if there is a difference.

Hhaah, yes i asked him several times if his laser was turned on.

I peronsally believe the X50 is great at laser coz like i said, when i had it, it always alerted to laser. I believe it even caught scatter a few times.

I seriously think there is something wrong with x50, i dont' think the black hood would make that much of a difference?

Nvr2fast can outbrake laser if his detector worked because he has veil and its a black car.

In VEIL Guy's laser test, the X50 was inconsistent at all distances with the Ultralyte. Maybe subtle mounting differences and vehicle colors could make the difference...

Yes, i remember those test results. But, in real world circumstances, the gun would be moving around, and due to officer error, shouldn't the chances of detection be even higher?

I"m really curioius whether the colour of the hood would affect detection?

hmm i rarely ever got proper laser alerts with my x50. one of the few times though, i got ticketed. it was ultralyte too.
