X50 Installed w/Pics

I installed my new blue x50 on my brand new Honda accord tonight.

Man, it's nerve-racking to tear apart a BRAND NEW car with less than 400 miles on it! I'm glad I did it though!

I ran the wire up the a pillar, through the headliner and into/out of the light/homelink console.

The remote mute is on the steering column.

Nice install. Is there enough room behind your rear view mirror to mount your X50 there?(if you prefer)

That is where I have mine mounted as to have it not be visible when looking into the car from the rear .

No there is not enought room, however I do plan on getting a tint job next week.

In that, pic, a flash was used and currently I have no window tint.

I think tinting and dimming will make it dissappear.

Yeah I agree, shouldn't be very visible with a tint. The display should not be visible at night either if the display is dimmed

There is only one thing though. I have tried mounting the ting as far forward as i can, but there is always about 1/18" - 1/8" between the detector and the front windshield.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Hmm. Is the mounting bracket inserted as far as it will go in the RD? Also, is your X50 slouching or is it sitting level?

Its sitting level. and I can't reach the other notch.
