8500 X50 Voltage

Is it normal that my 8500x50 is getting 14.x volts? I thought accessories ran at 12v.....

It's normal, the battery puts out 12v but when the car is running the alternator will raise it up around 14.

Yep, mine runs at ~13.8 @ idle and up to 14.6 under load/acceleration

mine is around 13

goes down when i use an accesory like the windows

there will be a warning if its too low or too high

wait a sec, i can't remember how to put it in voltage mode again? i looked under the programming but couldn't see it. must be missing something obious. thanks

It's under the "Pilot" setting.

I compared the voltage reading between my old 8500 and X50 and there's a 1/2 volt difference. The old RD will say around 13.5 and the X50 will say 14.
