All the way back to the days of Fuzzbusters, huh? Have a look at my vintage RD collection (link in my sig). The old RDs might bring back some fond memories.

Back in the mid to late 70’s my friend had a Fuzzbuster. We were all envious of him but he took the lead almost always until he got pulled over for driving with his fog lights on. The police found the RD and took it away.

At that time RD’s were not legal. No fine for the RD but the group of friends were pretty choked up about the loss.

Ahh those were the times.

I had the Kleenex box with the bottom cut out to slip over it if I got pulled over. Coming back from a ski weekend in the UP I did get pulled over by a Portage county sheriff. It worked like a charm. He never noticed!

How about this. The last RD I actually owned was a Whistler Spectrum! I loved that little box, and it saved me multiple times.

Yep. The original Whistler Spectrum was pretty awesome. For a while your only two choices for top performance was the original Escort or the Spectrum.

I cant compete here, furthest i go back is a LRD6299 from Uniden and the mid 90's.
