    Default Hello from Colorado!

    Hello fellow Electronic Countermeasures enthusiasts!

I've owned several generations of V1's and have been very pleased with them all.

I "test drove" a 9500ix and was impressed, but not enough not to send it back. The reason I was interested in it is because it has been one of my "dreams" for a number of years now to combine a V1 and a GPS receiver and a database in order to do just what the 9500ix seems to do- automatically map out and mask false alarms from stationary signal sources. But that would be quite a complicated project and I have never had time and energy to actually _do_ it instead of thinking about it.

I really, really wish Valentine Research would come out with this feature. I know they have got to be working on it.

For now I have my V1, a concealed display and a remote audio unit. I just got a 2002 Acura TL and have been scoping it out trying to figure the best way to install it.

I guess that's another area where I am tempted by the Escort products- the 9500ci. I really wish V.R. would come out with a remote mounting kit for the main unit, even if it means having to pay a bit more to have one for both front and rear. Yes, I realize that I would suffer a bit of loss of detection range due to the lower height of the receiver. But not that much I bet. and it would be worth it not to have the V1 box hanging out, tempting thrives and provoking "The Bronze"

Well, that's my introduction. I'm sure I will posting lots of questions and maybe a few answers....

    Welcome Kevin.

I doubt Valentine will ever produce a remote mount detector if they can't get the detection range up to the level of the window mount. Frankly the arrows probably depend on it.

9500ci is awesome. in some tests, it even beats out v1 when it comes to detection range. the arrows for the v1 though are invaluable though. If u install the radar antenna of the 9500ci with a clear view of the road, detection range wont be an issue.

TrueLock, Escort's GPS false lockout system is patented and therefore cannot be copied by VR.
