New to forum
Hello all, I just had my Bel Vector 985 stolen so I bought a used escort 8500 X50 off Ebay...
Question I have is if I am at a light and to the left is a speed radar setup, should my detector pick up traces of it when I am perpendicular as it is only about 1/4 mile away because it doesnt. Not till I turn left does it go off like crazy.... Thanks...

Guys of LIDAR - Radar Detector Test - July 2007
At a quarter of a mile, it is not likely to pick up a radar signal coming from a 90 degree angle. Sounds normal to me.
