I disagree with all this. I suggest you just let autolearn do its thing. We're talking about a guy here that's basically brand new to RDs. Trying to do all this stuff will probably just confuse him and cause problems.

Forget the gps bull crap buy yourself a refurbished original 8500 for $150 and you will be one happy man. It has less "falses" than a V1 yet has good performance, equal to or better than any M4 platform RD available today. Do not fall for Belscort's marketing BS.

Edit: But, if you set the V1 up correctly (V1 Reprogram) , can disable pop and x band, the V1 isn't as noisy as some believe.

He lives in New Jersey, so he cannot disable X band.

And disabling POP only weeds out the rare J-out, which is about one-half of one percent of all false alerts. Hardly worth it in any context to basically lock out an entire band that is used in the state right next to you.

Is there a sticky thread in the newb section for all the terms that are being used in these forums? I have seen the word LEO alot what does this mean? Law Enforcement Officer?
