Both actually, I have heard it is best to keep it in Highway mode though no matter where you are?

For maximum detection range, run the ix in highway mode and mount it near your rvm. Any other questions or concerns?

mann all those replys so fast....

i use it for both. i live near 355 (major n/s in illinois). most of my friends live about 6-7 town away from the highway. however, all the stores are in the opposite direction. my mom lives out in central illinois near peoria, so it is fairly rural-y in the area.

i love it because of the diversity that the Highway setting gives me. i started with a few cobras. got a ticket or two, was sick of them, and jumped to the 8500.

shortly after, i got the 9500i and later the ix.


so i love it. it has saved me from so many threats, and i dont even have my shifter yet!! im interestingly excited for my package
